Research and Faculty
Approximately 30 internationally recognized research groups from the Max Planck Institute for Terrestrial Microbiology and the Philipps-Universität participate in the Research School. Together these 30 research groups cover most aspects of microbiology from molecule to ecosystem. They form the core for the interdisciplinary concept of the School. The 30 research groups cover the following research areas:
- biogeochemistry
- cellular & molecular microbiology
- microbial biochemistry
- molecular ecology
- parasitology
- plant-microbe interactions
